Welcome
to Penang Rifle Club.
The
Penang Rifle Club now also known as Kelab Menembak Pulau
Pinang had its beginning as the Penang Police
and Volunteer Services Miniature Rifle Club. It was
founded by a group of rifle shooting enthusiasts on 26th
January, 1954, and comprised members from the Malayan
Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, the Federation of Malaya Reconnaisance Corps, the Malayan Auxiliary Air Force,
the Police and Police Volunteer Reserve, and the Civil
Defence Corps. Membership was exclusive to these
Services, and the Objectives of the Club are to:

1. |
provide training and give instructions in the use of
firearms; |
|
2. |
provide facilities for practice and acquisition of
skill in the use of firearms; |
|
3. |
promote interest, keenness and competition in
shooting; |
|
4. |
promote and foster friendly relations with members
of other organizations with similar objects; |
|
5. |
promote and develop the sport of shooting; |
|
6. |
be on good terms with all governing and regulatory
bodies of the sport of which the Club is promoting;
and |
|
7. |
ensure that its constitution and rules are observed
and abided by all its members. |
